Calblanque National Park
This national park is situated just minutes from the villa, with popular hiking trails forming a network throughout. For runners, walkers and cyclists alike there is plenty to see in this stunning area.
In this national park there is a diverse terrain, comprising of sandy beaches, sand dunes with wooden walkways, cliffs, hills and areas of lovely pine forest.
For wildlife lovers, this national park is a treat. With turtles, eagles, hoopoes and woodpeckers, there is plenty to see. If you fancy a more historical approach, then there are remains of old mines on the outskirts of the park.
There are some different set trails through the park – though it is not necessary to stick to these routes. They include:
“Circular al Cabezo de la Fuente” – this route is 7.8km long that will take you through the typical scrub of the Mediterranean.
“Sendero del Mirador de Puenta Negra” – This route is shorter at just 3.9km, with a moderate tour of the coastline from which you can see a beautiful landscape with characteristic salt marshes, salt mines, dunes and botanical beauty.
“Sendero del Monte de las Cenizas” This 3km route is a reserve area of ecological importance, showing you a lovely, dense pine forest.
